MobilitySavvy is a reading site. You don't create an account, and we never ask for payment details. We only receive your name or email address if you choose to send them through our contact form. This policy explains the small amount of data involved when you visit.
What we collect
Visit statistics (Google Analytics)
We use Google Analytics 4 to see which pages are read and how visitors find us. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information such as the pages you view, your approximate location (city or region), device and browser type, and how you arrived (for example, from a Google search). We use these reports only in aggregate to improve the site. Google's use of this data is described in Google's privacy policy.
Buy-button clicks
When you click a "Check price" button, we count the click so we know which models readers are interested in. We store the product, the page you clicked from and the time. To avoid counting the same click twice, we also store a short one-way code made from your IP address and browser type; your IP address itself is not stored, and the code can't be turned back into it.
Messages you send us
If you use the contact form, we keep what you write, plus your name and email address if you enter them (both are optional). We use them only to read and answer your message, never for marketing, and we delete a message on request.
Server logs
Our hosting provider (Vercel) keeps standard technical logs, such as IP address, browser and the page requested, to run and protect the service.
Third parties that load content
- Retailers' image servers (for example Shopify, which hosts many store photos), Pexels and the wsrv.nl image service (which resizes some store photos) deliver images.
- Google Fonts delivers the text font.
When your browser loads these files, those companies receive your IP address and browser information, as with any website.
Affiliate links and retailer cookies
Our "Check price" buttons take you to retailers such as Mobility Department, Roamate and E-Smartway. Those stores may set their own cookies to track that you came from MobilitySavvy, so they can pay us a commission if you buy. Once you leave MobilitySavvy, the retailer's own privacy policy applies, including for anything you buy there.
Your choices
- Block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site works without them.
- Opt out of Google Analytics with Google's browser add-on.
- Global Privacy Control: we don't sell or share personal information for advertising.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example California, under the CCPA/CPRA, or the European Union, under the GDPR), you may have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you and to have it deleted. Apart from messages you send us, we don't collect names or contact details, so we usually can't link other data to you. Use the contact form and we'll help however we can.
Children
MobilitySavvy is written for adults and is not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
If we change how the site handles data, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
